Product Update | October 2025

We’re excited to share a new round of updates for Spotler Connect that enhance flexibility, precision, and ease of use across the platform. From powerful new testing options in Data rules and a flexible Custom Feed feature, to improved control over contact imports and a more intuitive interface, these updates are all about giving you more confidence and efficiency in managing your data and integrations.

Data Rule Tester

Just as with Shipment rules, Spotler Connect now has the option to test the Data rules you created, ensuring it is correct before synchronizing the full data. It allow to quickly test the quality of the rules and experience how the data is handled. 

You can find this feature in the Data rules module from the left panel of Connect. On the right of the search bars, you see a new Test button. Click on it to open the test wizard. For more information, see the Data rules article. 

New 'Custom Feed' feature

You are now able to define custom field parameters in a feed. This way you can tailor outgoing feeds to match specific needs and workflows, allowing you to enrich and customize your data feed.

New 'Import all contacts' button

We added a new button to the Contacts module to Import all contacts. This way, you have the option to re-import/sync the stream data. So when adding a new rule, you can now use this to have the stream data apply the new rules. 

When clicking on the button, a pop-up gives the option to select from which source system you want to re-import the contacts.

Enhancements

Improvements on look and feel in connector settings

• Visually recognizable icons
  Stream sections are now visually recognizable with icons before the name of the stream section.
• Clear product stream section 
  You can now open and close the product stream sections through an accordion menu. This makes the page cleaner and less cluttered.
• New toggles on settings
  All options to turn on/off a setting are now accessible using a toggle instead of a checkmark. This makes it easier to understand what is available and what not.
• New preset message
  We added a new preset information message, making it less confusing as to what this preset does.

Data rules

• Contact field linking in Activity rules
  You can now dynamically link Contact fields when configuring Activity Rules. This makes it possible to reference and use Contact field values directly within activity-based mappings. When setting up a rule in the Activities stream, compatible Contact fields automatically appear as selectable options. 
• Template for product stream
  We added a new template to add a product URL to the product url field. This template automatically generates a product URL when the field is empty, as this is mandatory for product imports into Spotler Activate. The rule builds the URL dynamically by combining a base domain with the product's SKU. This ensures every product has a valid URL and can be successfully imported into Spotler Activate, even if the original data doesn't include one.

General improvements

• Filter on Contact Type in Contacts filter
  In the Contacts section, the option to filter on Contact type is added. This makes it possible to further filter on your available contacts when there is data on the type of contacts.
  
• Hide options in the connector settings
  Connector settings are now clearer and easier to use. When a data retrieval frequency has only one possible option, it’s automatically applied. This keeps your setup simple and clutter-free.
• Activity capabilities mapping
  In the Capabilities module, there is a new table that gives a deep dive into the Connector activity capabilities. In here, only the connectors that have activities are displayed. All activity types are displayed, allowing to see which ones are available for each connector.
• Rebranding of notification emails
  As part of the rebranding to Spotler Connect, the notification (transactional) emails are now being sent from info@spotlerconnect.com and no longer from the old domain. The email content and design did not change.
• Password Management via Spotler ID
  Password settings are now managed directly through Spotler ID. That is why the Password reset button on the profile page has been replaced with a clear banner that redirects you to Spotler ID for managing your user information.
