Add Leadinfo Connector

The Leadinfo connector is a third-party-developed connector that works slightly differently from default connectors. The onboarding wizard in Connect generates API credentials that must be entered into the Leadinfo account environment Once this connection is made, secondary options can be enabled for full connectivity. You will need to walk through the following steps:

Step 1 - Selecting the connector

When logging into Connect, click the New connector button on the dashboard. This will open the onboarding wizard.

Select the Leadinfo connector from the list of available connectors. If you want to switch to a different tab in Connect at any time during onboarding, you can save the connector as a draft. When Leadinfo is selected, click Next.

Step 2 – Preset

Currently, no presets exist for this connector. This means that you can only choose a manual configuration. Select this option, and click Next.

Step 3 – Connector

This step lets you customise the connector's name. This name will be displayed directly beneath the connector's logo in the dashboard. Fill in the field.

This step also enables updates from other connectors to any data Leadinfo imports into Connect (e.g., organisation data). This must remain enabled for the connector to function correctly. Click Next.

Step 4 – Summary

A summary of the selected information for the integration will be shown. The blue underlined text is clickable and represents a configuration. Any configuration options that still need to be completed will appear as questions or placeholders on this screen and must be configured before proceeding to the next step. Once it's finished, please click Next.

Step 5 – Confirmation

This is the final step before the key is generated to link accounts in subsequent steps. Once Next is clicked, the connector will be created. Click Next. The creation may take some time, and you will receive an email when the process is complete in Connect.

Step 6 – Retrieving credentials

You will now retrieve the key to connect Leadinfo. Go to 'Settings' in your Connect dashboard menu. Navigate to the Leadinfo connector under 'Connectors', recognizable by the personalised name entered in Step 3. There, click on 'Advanced configuration'. A field labelled "Project Key" will be displayed. Copy this project key.

Step 7 – Entering key in Leadinfo

Log into your Leadinfo account through this link. Paste the project key into the API key field and click 'Connect with Spotler'. This will link Connect and Leadinfo, with the basic integration now complete and activated. By default, only organisations will be imported from Leadinfo. If you also want to import Pageview activities (which we recommend), proceed to step 8.

Step 8 – Importing Pageview activities

Once the accounts are connected, several settings will appear in Leadinfo (refresh the screen if necessary). To activate the import of pageview activities to Connect, make sure the 'Synchronise website visits' option is set to Yes. From this point on, pageview activities will appear in Connect and will be linked to organisations there.

Additionally, you can configure field mappings (i.e. field in one system is linked to a field in the other system) through this interface. While default mapping works seamlessly with Connect, you can adjust mapping between Leadinfo and Connect in your Leadinfo account if you prefer. To do so, click on the 'Fields send to CRM' button to access and customise any preconfigured mappings.

Step 9 – Syncing companies

There are two ways to sync companies:

Automatically

To start syncing companies from Leadinfo to Spotler automatically, you need to set up a trigger in Leadinfo. This trigger determines which identified companies are sent to Spotler.

During onboarding, our Professional Services team usually creates a default trigger that sends all identified companies to Spotler, without applying filters such as company size, visited pages, or location. You can review and adjust this trigger at any time if you want to refine which companies are synced.

To manage triggers, log in to Leadinfo and open Triggers via the top navigation menu. Follow the step-by-step instructions  to set up or modify a trigger 👉Manual: How to set up triggers

Manual

If you prefer more control, you can also send companies to Spotler manually. This allows you to select individual companies and sync them to Spotler Connect or your CRM when needed. Instructions for manual syncing can be found here: 👉Manual: Manual forward leads to Spotler
